Liang Huanmu is a figure of my father's generation, a water conservancy expert, a national model worker, and a deputy to the seventh and eighth National people's Congress. Because his Xiaoyi village is adjacent to my hometown Hui village, and because my parents often mention it. Because the construction of Qingling Reservoir and Zhengbaoshan Hydropower Station in the 1950 s involved the mountain forest problems in our village, this "soil engineer" -- carrying a bamboo basket with an abacus in his hand, came to my house to discuss affairs with my father, who was the production team leader, and also because our military martyrs could get a fish for the sky every Spring Festival, what's more, because Fengqiao, young and old, praised that "in the past, farming depended on God, now farming depends on the sky"... Therefore, I have been looking up to Liang Huanmu since I was a child!

After graduating from Shaoxing Teachers College in August 1982, I taught in Baimiwan Middle School and Xuemian Middle School successively. Even from 1984 to 1985, I was assigned by the school to take part-time classes in Gao Fu Class in Zhengtian Lime Nitrogen Factory. Calculate that I and he have worked in the same area as Fengqiao for three years, but the two have never had the chance to meet. It may be because they are separated by mountains! However, Liang Huanmu's deeds can be obtained through the news media and the masses of Fengqiao. As far as I am concerned, Zhang Bofu from the Propaganda Department is also a special channel, because he has been staying in the Zhengtian Reservoir for several months and collected a lot of first-hand information. Speaking of Lao Liang, Bofu's classmates can tell one set after another, such as learning, which makes me amazed! This person who has only been in elementary school for 5 years has insisted on self-study for many years, studying university courses such as fluid mechanics and mechanical drawing, and with his own practice, he has become a senior water conservancy expert.

 

I met Liang Huanmu on a morning in late October 1989 on Hongqi Road in front of the county government. At that time, I was working in the education bureau. because I had to go on a business trip early in the morning, I finished my meal at the hongqi snack shop and rushed to the county government compound. when I looked up, I saw a big truck parked beside the labor bureau of sports road. four or five people got off the truck, each with a bag in his hand. the leader was Liang huanmu, who was tall and big. They quickly came to the gate of the Hongqi Road Cultural Center. I joined the crowd. One of them said, "Anyway, the office is not working yet, so it's better to go to the opposite publicity window first. There is an exhibition of Ya Laoliang." Only a few steps, I also followed them to the publicity window. This is opposite the county government. The glass window propaganda corridor built along the park enclosure is 20 to 30 meters long. In order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China, the county set up a National Day column, including the introduction of Liang Huanmu's deeds. He was just awarded the title of national model worker by the State Council at the end of September (Zhejiang entrepreneurs who were commended at the same time include Feng Gensheng and Lu Guanqiu). The photograph of him hanging his badge in the glass window has been enlarged to stand out. No wonder they found their bearings accurately as soon as they arrived. One of them pointed and everyone laughed! When I observed Liang Huanmu, he himself smiled and shook his head gently. His expression was not public, showing a low-key and modest manner. This time, it was the first time to have close contact with Liang Huanmu.

In 1986, at the initiative of Liang Huanmu, Zhengtian Comprehensive Development Company, the Education Bureau and the Water and Electricity Bureau jointly established Fengqiao Zhengtian Vocational and Technical School. The principal is Wu Wuliu, the senior and colleague of Shaoxing Teachers College. Yang Jianquan and Hu Guozhong, among the teachers, are all classmates of the same class of my teachers college. This school has advanced school-running concepts, considerate service to the local economy, and has a reputation both inside and outside the province. Speaking of the opening ceremony on September 5, 1986, it is surprising: there are 96 students in such a school, including Shao Zongjie, director of Zhejiang Education Commission, Dong Feng, director of Shaoxing Education Commission, and Che Shanzhu, deputy county magistrate and director Kong Xiangdong of Zhuji, several directors of the Provincial Water Resources Department, as well as more than 20 leaders and guests of the Provincial Water Resources and Hydropower Junior College School, Shaoxing College and Secondary specialized school. This is extremely rare in other schools in Zhuji. It can be seen from this that the great influence of Liang Huanmu and his Zhengtian enterprise in the society at that time also showed that leaders at all levels encouraged and spurred Liang Huanmu's innovative spirit. Starting from the reality of the countryside, Liang Huanmu closely linked with the successful practice of Zhengtian enterprises and vocational schools, and carried out positive and bold practice and thinking on the reform of rural education. In 1987 and 1991, the articles "Who will open up a new world in the countryside" and "Farmers also need successors" were published twice in "People's Education", which injected a sobering agent into the primary and secondary education of the single-plank bridge (college entrance examination) at that time. The whole education circle was shocked.

 

During my work in the education bureau, doing a good job in the communication report of the education system is also one of my own jobs assigned by the leadership. Beginning in 1984, the province, Shaoxing City, and Zhuji City have carried out activities to learn from Liang Huanmu. In October 1990, the front page of the People's Daily published "Love the Green Mountains and Green Waters-A Record of the National Model Worker Liang Huanmu" Newsletter. In June of the following year, the book "Love Green Mountains and Green Waters", which reflected his deeds, was officially published by Zhejiang People's Publishing House. For a while, Liang Huanmu became a popular figure. higher education administrative departments paid close attention to liang huanmu's reform practice. I have been a guide twice and accompanied reporters to interview. The first time was in 1990, when I accompanied Yang Dong, then editor-in-chief of Zhejiang Education Daily. However, it happened that Liang Huanmu went on a business trip and did not meet him. He was received by Ruan Rongji, deputy secretary of Zhengtian Comprehensive Development Company, and President Wu Wuliu. He visited Zhengtian Reservoir, enterprises and campuses. At the first scene, I felt Liang Huanmu's courage and courage to start a business and innovate; the second time was accompanied by Qian Chongfang (from Zhuji Jiangzao), head of Zhejiang reporter station of China Education Daily. The time was after the Spring Festival in 1991. The meeting place was very strange. The two people met at the side of the highway behind Zhengtian Company (Shibei Junction). Liang Huanmu just came back from a business trip. When he got off the bus and saw Qian Chongfang, he said, "I'm ashamed, ashamed! I'm wearing a national advanced vocational education hat on my head. I have to continue to work hard, otherwise I'm really sorry for the superior leaders!" It turned out that in mid-January 1991, the State Education Commission, the State Planning Commission, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Personnel, and the Ministry of Finance jointly held a national vocational and technical education work conference in Beijing. At the meeting, a group of units and individuals with outstanding contributions were commended. Liang Huanmu was named "National Advanced Worker in Vocational and Technical Education". In the interview, he expounded Zhengtian's idea of running a school. At the same time, he sharply criticized the tendency of one-sided pursuit of enrollment rate and separation from production practice in the society at that time. He called for the application of learning and opposed the "promotion" of learning, and put forward many suggestions for the reform of rural education. When it comes to topics such as "high rehabilitation", "single-plank bridge" for the college entrance examination, the decline of students' myopia and physique, and TV cameras either "fist" (martial arts films) or "pillow" (romance films), Liang Huanmu was emotional and cited a large number of facts to oppose these social undesirable phenomena. Later, Qian Chongfang, Deng Wei, Luo Xiancan and I, who participated in the interview, jointly published a long newsletter in the 10th issue of "People's Education" that year, "opening up a new world of" farming and reading ", which comprehensively introduced Liang Huanmu's educational philosophy and reform practice to readers all over the country. For a long time in the 1990 s, Zhengtian Vocational School in Zhuji became a "hot cake" for junior high school graduates, with a large number of applicants and a higher admission score than many ordinary Senior high school. They have been forged in the special classroom of Zhengtian for three years, going to the enterprise and the society, and becoming a new force in the construction of a new countryside. The local people are all impressed by them.

One morning in early 1995, Cai Hanliang, then member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of Organization, asked me to go to Fengqiao to visit Liang Huanmu who was ill. At this time, Liang Huanmu suffered from prostate cancer and was discharged home for treatment. He lived in the past of Zhengtian Comprehensive Development Company. On the first floor of a private house less than Laoxue Mian Middle School (now Fengqiao Town), a bed was laid against the wall and lying on a high pillow. His face was obviously thin, but his mind was very fresh. He said, "I know my illness. I am a Communist Party member and a thorough materialist. I think if the organization can agree, long-term pain is better than short-term pain..." He looked at Minister Cai with his eyes and made a gesture like a knife with his right hand. Minister Cai gave condolences on behalf of the municipal party committee and municipal government, and President Wu Zhangmu of the Municipal people's Hospital also comforted him. Soon, from the news to see, Liang Huanmu tenacious struggle with the disease. On the day of April 20, 1995 (grain rain in the lunar calendar), I took part in the "public sacrifice of Dayu" in Shaoxing with the urine bag left after the operation; I held a hanging needle on my feet and a pen in my hand; I raced against life and visited Fengqiao River with illness; I insisted on completing the "Fengqiao River Management and Development" with more than 100,000 words... Teacher Yang Anhe is a close friend of Liang Huanmu, and I often go to Beizu in my spare time. At that time, teacher yang concentrated on excerpting aphorisms. the thick manuscript was placed on the desk. only after the conversation did he know that Liang huanmu had commissioned him to compile it. the title of the book was "300 questions selected from four books and sentences", which was used as a learning book for employees of zhengtian group. During the formation of the manuscript, the two of them have repeatedly studied and revised it. Liang Huanmu also devoted a lot of effort to the publication of this manuscript.

 

On April 19, 1996, Liang Huanmu died unfortunately. At that time, I was the deputy director of the office of the municipal party Committee organization department. the task assigned was to draft the eulogy. the leaders of the department instructed that this material was very heavy, involving not only important personal experiences and honors, but also organizational evaluation. therefore, the file should be checked in detail, the experience should be written in real and real terms, and the evaluation language should be cautious and examined step by step. With the cooperation of the cadre archives room and the printing room, I completed the draft for review that night. The next day, I sent it to the leaders of the Ministry and the municipal party committee for review and check according to the procedures, and then faxed it to the Shaoxing municipal party Committee organization department for review and approval. On the morning of the third day, at the farewell ceremony of Liang Huanmu's body, this material, as the final evaluation made by the main leading representative organization of the municipal Party committee, was "the backbone of Zhengtian, the good son of Zhuji people, the excellent member of the Communist Party of China, and the excellent model of the construction of two civilizations".

 

Liang Huanmu has been away from us for more than 20 years. As an advanced model figure, a representative of the two National People's Congress, a foreign aid expert, and a water conservancy engineer who benefits one party, his influence has spread far and wide. The eight characters inlaid on the stone wall of the Zhengtian Reservoir are the portrayal of Liang Huanmu's life for the benefit of the people. Liang Huanmu's glorious deeds will always be praised by the common people. The contemporary Dayu spirit of "knowing mountains and rivers can govern mountains and rivers" also inspires us to work tirelessly for the party and the people's cause with full work enthusiasm!
